Day Four

Day four was again a day filled. The team was up early and then off to teach. Again Pastor Charlie first the myself and then Cathy.

We had a large family come in the Church this morning and one man was in the wheelchair, he had been shot and the bullet was still in his back next to his spine and he was paralyzed. When the service ended and we gave an alter call Jimmy the young man in the wheelchair came up to the front.

He said he wanted to be healed, we ask if he had been saved and ask the Lord into his heart, because this is such a strong Catholic area everybody thinks just because they go to church they are a Christian.

He said he had never done this, so we ask if he would like to be saved and he said "yes" then we ask if anyone in his family would like to be saved and they all came to the front of the Church.

The whole family from the papa to the brothers and sisters, it was wonderful. ( just look at the ladies face to the left) At one point Mrs Mariesa Davis said "I believe he can stand up" and so he did for a short while as we helped him, but the thing is I did not tell Pastor Charlie what I had seen in my spirit he did not tell me what he had seen and we did not tell Mariesa,and after we got home she said to us I see that bullet dropping out of his back and that man walking. At that point Charlie and I said we had seen the same thing exactly and I believe it will happen just that way.

Lunch and a nap and we went to the market square to do a little shopping before the night service.

Peru has a large silver mine and the people make some beautiful jewelry.

That night we are back at the Bible School and Cathy is teaching on the four Churches and we even had some special guests show up a King and his wife.

It was a fun time and the point was well made. It is good to have a little humor with all the traditions we were tearing apart with the Word of God. We were teaching on false things like once saved always saved and baptism for the dead and praying to saints and a whole host of other things.

Back home about 10 pm and stayed up until about 2:30 am discussing the last days and other Bible topics it was a great time and I am so thankful for all the things God is doing and for the great teaching from Ms. Cathy and Pastor Charlie.

Time for bed we are going to the orphanages in the morning, this will be an all day event.

Day Three

After a short night I was up again cooking the breakfast, only thing is I still had no helper in the kitchen. Oh well so goes life in the field but that's okey I know Catie had a late night.

This morning we started with omelette's and toast and fruit. Soon as breakfast was done the team started to show up and I went for a shower in cool water but it was fine at least we had a shower.

At 8:30 the phone rings and our driver is ready to pick us up and go to the Church this morning Pastor Charlie is up and he is going to teach on fellowship with God and then I am next and then Ms Cathy.We all were able to finish our time this morning.

When it came time for the ministry to the people for healing or salvation or to be filled with the Spirit some people brought a little lady up to the front she was precious she was an older lady and she had been hit by a taxi, the traffic in Peru is awful and if you don't watch you will be hit.

Well she had some broke ribs and her hips were not right and she was having a lot of trouble walking and she was in pain as you can imagine.

Pastor Charlie said to me why don't you go ahead and pray and I will stand in agreement with you, I laid my hands on her side and with the interpreter commanded the ribs to mend and to heal in Jesus Strong Name, I can not say I felt any stronger anointing then I had before really pretty normal nothing out of the ordinary.

When we were done praying for her she was crying and Pastor Charlie ask her if she used to dance before the Lord she said she did, well he said why don't you dance again and she began to move a little and then jump and then she started to dance all around the Church and shout and praise God, it was wonderful.

After that we were all pretty much ready to see some more of God's power and know the week was going to be awesome.

Back in the taxi and back to the house. We had lunch and each day the lunch was great I have no idea what most of it was but I did not ask I just ate it. Then a little rest and back to the bible school at 5:30 to set up class starts at 7:00 and will end just before 9:00 Cathy will be teaching Revelation Revealed.

We hit some religious dogma tonight and stirred up the devil, all I can say to that is GOOD ! Teaching about the seven churches and we can see that the Church is right in the mix today.

One thing that was a real hot topic was water baptism verse sprinkling and baby baptism.

Peru is 95% Catholic and it is just filled with religious traditions, and even tho many are saved and come out of the dead Churches there is still a lot of teaching that needs to be done to let people know who they are in Christ and to break those old ways and follow the ways of Jesus.

Good service tonight and good time of prayer after. Now it is time to start heading back to the house for some rest and study and to get ready for the morning services.

Mission Peru - Day Two

Day Two

I was chosen to be the breakfast cook for the team in the morning, so 5:30 and I am up pancakes and eggs today.

At 8:30 we are off to meet the taxi and go to the Church for the first service. Pastor Charlie is going to kick things off and then me and then Ms. Cathy. I already know this is going to be a great week, I am going to teach on Righteousness today and for the rest of the 9 days I did not know what Pastor Charlie was going to teach on.

His first message was Fellowship with the Lord. Pastor Charlie took his text from Exodus chapter 3

He taught that God will have us turn aside to hear from Him and we are to set time aside to have fellowship with the Lord each day. This was an awesome message and so he taught the rest of the week on this topic.

We talked after the first morning and said we can both see where this is going I am teaching about how we were made the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and Charlie is teaching how to maintain that by fellowship with the Father.

Exo 3:1-5

(1) Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

(2) And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

(3) And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

(4) And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

(5) And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Third up Ms. Cathy Bently she would be teaching on prophesy only thing was this first morning she did not get to we had an awesome alter service and God ministered to many.

After the morning session we all headed back to the mission house for a bite of lunch that was prepared for us by Carmen and Patty.

After lunch time for some study and a nap to get ready for the service tonight at the Bible school where Cathy will be teaching The Book of Revelation each night.

5:30 PM we are off to the Bible School it is about a 15 minute ride to the school, once there we help set up the projector and the laptop set up chairs and greet the students as they come in.

What a great start at the school Cathy had to teach from 7 to 9 and she could do it no problem, I was wore out after the first hour and a half but she was going strong.

The students were loving every bit of the teaching and we were hitting things that had been strongholds in this area for years.

After the teaching another great alter service and many were prayed with and for many things, Dr. Lew said we had to be done by 9 pm next time because the buses stop running and some of the students could not get home, we are learning.

Back to the mission house time for some rest and study, we all were blessed today Charlie and I and Cathy and Catie set up and talked about end times and went to bed about 1:30 am. I had to be up as did Catie my breakfast helper by 5:45 am.

We will see how that works out in the morning.

Mission Peru

The day started at 2:30 am Donnia drove me to Sis. Cathy's house to meet the rest of the team Catie and Charlie. A quick bag weight check and then some coffee and off to the airport.

Going through the fast pass on the turnpike an eighteen wheeler decided it needed the same lane we did so thanks to some fancy driving by Raymond we took to the grass path and went our way.

On the plane in Orlando and at 7:00 am we take to the air and are on our way to Panama City, breakfast on the plane French toast and what look like a piece of sausage.

Touchdown in Panama City, we run to the gate just in time to board and be off again, next stop Lima, but first time for some lunch mashed potatoes and mystery meat.

Upon landing in Lima we had to get through customs and that was fun to say the least, but then as we rounded the corner there it was, now I am not sure but, I do think I saw a tear in the eye of some of the team, as right in front of us in big letters the word Starbucks and Ice Cream we had entered the promised land for the next six hours.

Next stop will be Arequipa and then to bed so we can get an early start bringing the Word and doing the thing we are all here to do.
